Bruce Campbell Dixon

Bruce Campbell Dixon, born April 13, 1924, in Haywood County, North Carolina, died September 22, 2002, at his home in Pasco, Washington after a courageous fight with cancer. At his side was his former wife and companion Filotea M. Dixon.

His work included over thirty years of nuclear, aircraft and general industry engineering, design and supervisory experience, and took him throughout the United States.  Employers included Boeing, Westinghouse, General Electric, Kaiser, Fluor Daniel, Parson’s, Fluor Federal Services, and his own company Dixon Design Services.  He loved his work and continued working until he was 77.  His last employer was Bechtel National Inc., working on the Waste Treatment Plant Project at Hanford.

A Vigil is scheduled 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2002, at Einan’s Funeral Home in Richland.  Friends are invited to come and celebrate his life.

On Saturday, September 28, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Church, Richland, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held.  A graveside service in Sunset Memorial Gardens will follow.

Surviving are daughter, Sue of Watkins, Minnesota, wife of Robert Lange, daughter, Lynn of Renton, Washington, wife of James Steckline, four grandsons, and five great grandchildren.

A donation in lieu of flowers to the Tri-City Chaplaincy Hospice Program, 2108 West Entiat Ave. Kennewick, Washington 99336 would be appreciated.
