  • Ellens Family,

I had the opportunity to get to know Ellen, as well as Lottie through a Sr. Health agency that I’m employed. I always enjoyed my visits with Lottie and through those visits I got to know Ellen. Later after Lotties death Ellen then utilized our services. Ellen was an inspiration to me. She took such good care of her mother and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her. Ellen was strong and dealt with her disease head on. Her many wonderful traits, sense of humor and love for her siblings and their families was always apparent. We would always chat about her bird, the latest thing the bird had done and of course how Ellen more than spoiled her feathered friend. Then she would tell me about her brothers, what a support you had been. She loved to brag about Jim and his shooting ability and cherished her visits up to the Cascade areas to visit family and friends.

I will miss my visits with Ellen, she was a delightful lady.

    In sympathy,

  • Dale, Jim and families – I was so sorry to see Ellen’t notice. I know she was close to you all, and enjoyed and loved her family so very much. I am sorry to say that I did not know she was seriously ill – I wish I had known. Obviously we didn’t get together nearly often enough – but we were close in spirit and had good memories of our “younger days”. I will try to think of only the good times we had together all the trips to her grandparents in Spokane, her parents in Coos Bay, and of course the trip with Jim to CA, and hopefully that will fill the void I feel now when I think of her.

  • The entire Harrison family has always entwined with the Owens family, ever since Tiny got Lou his first job. Memories of Ellen will always be with me, from the time she brought her brand new Mustang by to give us test rides to the time she got me outfitted for my first ski trip back in 1970, and through the “Nuts and Bolts” she made for us every Christmas to the lunches at Guajardo’s every time I was in town. One of my most special birthdays was in 1998, when she decided we needing a shopping expedition. We covered half of the Tri-Cities that day, and had a blast doing it. Everyone of us who knew Ellen learned a lot about the importance of family and loyalty and love from her. To Bill, Pat, Mike and Susan, she loved you more than life itself! I know you’ll do her proud, and wish you all of the best in the years to come.
