John Arthur Thompson
John Arthur Thompson, 61, of Richland, WA died Monday, September 16, 2002, at Kadlec Medical Center. He was born to Lowell J. Sr. and Anna Louise Martell Thompson on December 1, 1940, in San Luis Obispo, CA. He graduated from Burbank in 1959. He married Connie Sue Sarama in 1963 where they resided in Pasco and had three children. John moved to California in 1982 where he resided and owned and operated a jewelry store. In 1999, he moved back to the Tri-Cities to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, John and Terri Thompson, Tracy and Harvey Christ, Mickey and Daryn Thompson; mother, Anna Louise Thompson; brothers, Jim and Kenny Thompson; sisters, LoAnn Osborn and Jenny Lee Gibson; four grandchildren, Samantha, Teja, Jherad and Cavet; aunt, Beryl Wyatt; uncle, Edward Martell; and special friend, Sharon Ackerman.

My sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John Thompson, and Sharon. John was a truly unique individual that enriched our lives with his gentle manner and humorous ways. Let us be thankful that we were able to meet and enjoy the presence of John at the last CHS reunion in August. Somehow, it was all so appropriate. Those years knowing John at CHS, and the laughs we shared at our last meeting at the Burbank tavern and the picnic, will not be forgotten. All who knew him will miss him.
