Edith M. Bates, 79, passed away at her home in Richland, WA. She was born February 22, 1923 in Bloomington, WI. She has graced the Tri- Cities area for 54 years. Edith worked for the Department of Energy. She was a faithful and constant member of Christ The King Catholic Church and the Young Ladies Institute. She is survived by her son, Deigh T. Bates, and daughter Doris A. and Paul D. Leavitt,3 grandchildren, Jennifer M. Friebel, Timothy P. Leavitt, and Nicole M. Roberts, and her brother Robert L. Lyness. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Deigh S. Bates There is a Rosary at Einan's Funeral Home Wednesday 6,2002 at 6:00 p.m. A memorial will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church on Thursday 7, 2002 at 10:00 a.m.
