  • Helen touched many lives while working at Children’s Garden. She taught them many songs but their favorites were

Take Me Out To The Ball Game and Popeye The Sailor Man. After working with her for the past 6 years I will miss talking about the Mariners and her wonderful stories about her kids and grandchildren. She was devoted to her family. I will miss her kind words and support in our classroom.

  • On the wall of her kitchen, hung a plate bearing the face of a pretty young brunette woman. Since she resembled Helen, I asked if it was her. She replied with a chuckle, “No, that’s Queen Elizebeth!”

Helen was a very kind, unselfish person who spent much of her life taking care of other people. Being the humble person she was, this brought her a lot of joy and fulfillment.

I especially liked hearing her talk about when she was a young woman living in Spokane. She and her friends used to spend all their money buying fancy clothes at Nordstroms and other expensive department stores. Of course, they impressed all the young men. This little clip was much more interesting coming from Helen. I haven’t heard it for twenty-five years or so.

  • I met Helen through Children’s Garden. Where my daughter was taught by her. Helen was a kind soul and truly cared about the children she was with. It showed in the kids faces as they loved her.

She was a blessing in our lives while we attended Children’s Garden. She was a blessing to all of the kids she taught.

My deepest sympathy for you during this time.
