  • Dear Clarence,

I know it’s been many years since we’ve had contact, but I read in the paper today with shock of the loss of your wife Marjorie and I just wanted to express my condolences to you. In conversations that I have had with Steve over the years, he always spoke very highly of Marjorie’s kindness. He said she was a good lady. My husband of 16 years, who is also named Steve, and I are missionaries here in the Tri-cities area working through the Columbia Basin Baptist Association in an ESL ministry with the Hispanics and Bosnian/Serbs/Croations of the area. We moved to Kennewick in June of 2001. Your grandson Adam, who is now 30 years old, lives and works in Auburn. He’s a fine man. I’ll let him know that you are in this area, as I’m sure he thinks you are still in California.

Again, please accept my expression of sorrow for your loss. My number is 509585-7002. Would love to hear from you.

Your daughter-in-law of many years ago,

    Sharon

  • To all of Marjorie’s family: Thank you for the opportunity to share condolences with you at this time. I was assigned as Marjorie’s volunteer through the Chaplaincy Hospice program. Though I didn’t get to know her as well as you do, I want you to know that I enjoyed visiting with her and getting to know her a little. She had a great sense of humor and was very interesting to talk to. I know she was in a lot of pain the last few months and am glad that she is finally relieved of that, but I know she will be missed greatly by her children, husband, grandchildren and others. I wish you peace at this time when it is very hard for you. Thank you for the opportunity to get to know her.
