Thomas Rae Harper Jr.
Thomas Rae Harper Jr., 84, died Monday, January 27th, 2003, in Richland, WA. He was born February 12, 1918, in Monroeville, PA, a son of the late Thomas Rae and Lillian Weishorn Harper.
In addition too his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Naley and Lester Harper.
He graduated from Union High School in Turtle Creek, PA. In 1936. He married his high school sweetheart Nora Hartnett in 1944. He was employed by Rockwell for 20 years and for Westinghouse for 28 years retiring in 1984. Tom and Nora moved to the Tri-Cities in 1971. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nora, a daughter Norene Greenleaf and her spouse Dan Huntingdon, PA, and son Thomas and his wife Karen of Richland. He also has two brothers, George Naley of Monroeville and William Harper of Pittsburgh. Thomas has 7 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. To all the grandchildren he will be their forever beloved PAP.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Josephs Church, 520 South Garfield, Kennewick, WA.
Visitation will be held at Einans Funeral Home in Richland on Wednesday 29th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Vigil services will be held on Wednesday 29th at Einans Chapel at 7:30 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursdays 30th, at 12:00 PM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Kennewick. A graveside service and interment will be held Saturday February 1st, at 12:00 PM at the New St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in North Versailes, Pennsylvania.
Nora and Family. Ruth and I send our deepest sympathy at your loss. Tom and I go back many years. We first worked at PAD in Pgh. and both traveled here and continued our freindship.
