Charles ‘Chuck’ A. Symons

In loving memory of the world’s greatest husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Charles “Chuck” A. Symons, age 54, passed away peacefully in his sleep, early Sunday morning March 9th, 2003, with his wife by his side at their Richland home.

Chuck was born on April 2, 1948 to Edward J. and Ann C. Symons in Saginaw, MI. Saginaw is where he met Carol and began what to him was an entire life—his family. He was never rich financially but his love and caring for all that he met overflowed his heart.

He moved his family to Richland, Washington in 1975 and went to work at the Hanford site then later for the Richland school district, from where he was forced to retire due to medical complications.

Chuck was an avid sports fan. He loved every game there was from the Mariner’s to WWF wrestling, which to both he was addicted. For many years he enjoyed helping enrich the lives of youngsters throughout the Tri-Cities by instilling his passion for competition and good sportsmanship. He coached and managed kids in little league, junior bowling and football, while loving every minute of it. His other passions included his TOPS friends and music of all types.

Chuck has left behind his loving wife Carol of 34 1/2 years, 3 children: NicolRobert Ramsey, Charlie Tara Symons, Amy ChrisBeaver, along with nine grandchildren: Tanya, Christina, Cassie, Chandler, Kiersten, Scott, Dallas, Joseph, Zachary, and another one on the way; as well as one great grandchild: Kylee. Chuck is also survived by his brothers, Jackie Mary Symons, and David Meri Symons. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law Alvira Wilcox.

He was totally devoted to his family. His life revolved around them and he was intertwined within theirs. From his wife and kids to his grandchildren… they were his life and HE was theirs.

A rosary and viewing will be held Wednesday March 12th at 7:00 PM at Einan’s Funeral Home in Richland for family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday March 13th, at 11:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Richland.

In lieu of flowers we would encourage you to make a donation to the Richland Little League or Children’s program of your choice.
