Dorothy Arlene Branam
Dorothy Arlene Branam, 87, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 31, 2003. Dorothy was born on March 2, 1916 in Central City, Iowa to John and Clara McMaster. The family moved to Vale, South Dakota where Dorothy attended school.
Dorothy, at age 18, married Howard P. Grant in 1934. They had 3 children, LaVonne, Sharon and Garrie. The family move to California in 1937. In 1939, they moved to Washington where they lived on a farm. Dorothy worked various jobs until her retirement. Dorothy was widowed in 1971, and married Morris Branam in 1973. They resided in Wenatchee, WA. They enjoyed traveling around the U.S. in their motorhome. She was widowed a second time in 1995 and eventually moved to the Tri-Cities, WA in 1998.
Dorothy enjoyed all of her grandchildren, painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting and various crafts. She attended college in Wenatchee, studying accounting and art.
Dorothy was actively involved in her local church and enjoyed fellowship with the congregation.
Dorothy is survived by her children, LaVonne D. Morton husband, Donald Pasco, WA; Sharon M. Kinswa husband, Mick Green Acres, WA; Garrie H. Grant wife, Bette Reardan, WA; her stepchildren, George Branam wife, Mary Jo, Connie Powell, both from Wenatchee; her brothers, Rolland McMaster, Ajo, AZ; Cecil McMaster wife, Emmie, Chico, CA; her sister, Frances Peace husband, Eddie, Joshua Tree, CA; 12 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Grant, second husband, Morris Branam, brother, Sherman McMaster, sister, Hilda Tiny Lynch, and step-son, Lincoln Branam.
Viewing is Friday, April 4th, from 3 PM 8 PM and Saturday, April 5th, from 8 AM 1 PM at Einans Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Highway, Richland, WA.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 3:00 PM at Word of Faith Center, 1350 S. Rainier, Kennewick, WA. Pastor Doug Graves will officiate.
