Mary Ellen O’Laughlin, 70, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at her Richland home.  She was born April 2, 1932 in St. Paul, Minnesota and was raised in Seattle.  The family traveled extensively due to her father’s military service.

She was a New York fashion model, and earned a nursing credential and a culinary arts degree.

Mary lived in Richland 5 years and was a parishioner of the Church of the Nazarene in Richland where she was recently baptized.

She raised 5 children and is survived by four of them:  Cynthia Lantau, James Arnold, Forrest Arnold and Gary Arnold.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and John Fairley and by her daughter, Mary Arnold.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2003, at the Church of the Nazarene, 2500 Jericho Road, Richland, WA 99352.
