Rolland ”Al” Willis Simmons
Rolland Al Willis Simmons, 89, of Richland passed away on March 1, 2003. He was born on August 6, 1913 in Sioux City, Iowa. He had called the Tri-City area home since 1950. Rolland retired as a radiation monitor for the nuclear industry.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Minnie Amelia Hagen Simmons, formerly of Orient, South Dakota and his son David Ellsworth Simmons.
Rolland is survived by his daughters Vonda Lee Simmons of Richland and Marilyn Annette Simmons Arnold and son-in-law Bill Arnold of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Other survivors include two granddaughters, Elisabeth Ingram and husband Eric of Edmond, Oklahoma and Stephanie Arnold of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Rolland was raised in Faulkton, South Dakota and attended Yankton College to earn his teaching credentials. He enjoyed animals and sports, namely baseball and bowling.
Rolland will be remembered for his mischievous wit, quiet acceptance of lifes trials, and devotion to his family.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, March 4th, at 11:00 A.M. at Einans Funeral Home in Richland.

Rolland has been a very respected uncle and a sweet gentleman to know. We will miss him here but know that now he is with God and finally free. He will be remembered with much love.
