Kay T. Harvey Jones passed away April 26, 2003, at Richland Life Care Center in Richland. She was born on June 12, 1921 to Harry and Martha Solinski in Wostok, Alberta, Canada.
Her family moved to Spokane, WA in 1924 and there she attended St. Aloyious, Holy Names and North Central.
Kay married Mel C. Harvey in 1940. She then married Bruce W. Jones in 1973 and then moved to Richland, WA in 1978. She has been an active member of Christ The King Catholic Church for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband Bruce W. Jones; two daughters, Diana K. Harvey and Eileen L. Rothwell; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her four brothers, John Solinski, Tom Sollars, Harold Solinski and Jim Burchett and one sister Mary Heisig and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 3, 2003 at 12:00 P.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Holy Cross in Spokane, WA.
To Kay’s Family
Kay was such a blessing to anyone who knew her. She was a blessing in our lives. Kay possesed a grace and love that few people have. May you find peace and comfort knowing that she is now with her Savior. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
I first knew Kay as the lector with the wonderful voice. Later she joined a renew group that met at CK, that I was directing. She had a caring heart and she was my contact for the CK prayer chain for a long while. I have included her in my own daily prayers for the sick with St. Theresa for several years and I will continue to pray for her.
