Della Marie Thayer Feaster
Della was born April 17, 1916 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Victor and Stella Kolb Thayer.
Della graduated from Central High School in Scranton, Pa and completed her degree in Home Economics at Syracuse University, NY. In her earlier years, Della was an accomplished pianist and organist. She held several positions as Head Dietician and Director of Food Services in several colleges before moving to Richland in 1951. In 1954 Della married George Lewis Feaster. They were both avid outdoorsmen, enjoying fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and traveling in their RV. She worked for the Richland School District as Head Dietician for both the elementary and high schools for 21 years.
Della is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Lawrence Thayer, and one sister Frances Thayer Lindner. She is survived by one sister Marjorie Thayer Foster of Scranton, PA.
At the request of George and Della there will be no services.
Don and I will miss you. It’s sad to lose a sister…one who loved the outdoors and nature. We will always remember the fun times ..at the lake and elsewhere. Good-bye. Della
