Paul Jackson Davis passed on peacefully in the comfort of family and friends on May 13th, 2003, at the age of 56. He was born February 19th, 1947 in Lubkin, TX. His parents Captain Jackson D. Davis and Robbie Sue Davis raised him at several naval bases through out the world.

His family later resided in the Seattle area where he graduated from high school. In November of 1965, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. During that time Paul was awarded two purple hearts and a bronze star for his courageous efforts in Vietnam. After Vietnam, Paul moved back to the Seattle area where he trained to be a police officer. At that time he met his first wife and moved to Sunnyside, WA where they started a family. Paul was injured as a police officer and was forced to retire. In the latter part of 1980 Paul and his family relocated to the Tri-Cities where he held several high profile jobs.

In 1985 Paul was married for the second time to Cynthia Ann Knight and they began their adventures together. Paul was forced to retire from work in 1990 due to all the complications of Vietnam.

While Paul was retired, he joined the organization known as Combat Veterans International and started a chapter here in the Tri-Cities. He was extremely active in fund raising and organizing benefits to let people know what Vietnam meant to him and all of his brothers in arms.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother Robbie Sue Davis and many brothers who gave themselves in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Ann Davis, sons Jackson W. Davis and William R. Keelin, daughter Vanessa L. Knight; grandson Osten Keelin; father Jackson D. Davis and his wife Sherril; his aunts Claudea Ruth Worley, Ruth Ivie and Meladeen Billingley; his uncles Neil Davis and Norris Chancey; and numerous cousins and extended family.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2003, in Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.  Visitation will be at Einan’s Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made C.V.I. at Sterling Savings of Richland or the Moving Wall fund at Gesa of West Richland.

To my dad: You where a friend that was always there when called upon and never judged, you where a father that made sure I had the best sneakers, a good car, money for everything I needed, but most of all you believed I would conquer all. I can never thank you enough for the strength you have given me, there is no doubt that you will be with me forever. I will always love and remember you.
