Larry Wayne Stanford
Larry Wayne Stanford, 60 years old, of Benton City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 15, 2003.
He was born May 19, 1943, in Montezuma, Iowa and grew up in Pateros, Washington. He graduated from Pateros High School and played football on the Pateros High School team. After high school, Larry moved to Lebanon, Oregon where he met and married, Tillie Sue, his wife of 39 years.
Larry was a pipefitter out of Local 598 for 24 years.
He loved the Lord, reading the Bible, serving the Lord, and spending time with his family.
Larrys proudest moments in life were when his grandchildren were born. He loved all his grandchildren and took great pride in them. He was a very loving, caring, understanding, gentle Grandpa, father and husband. He is survived by his wife, Tillie Stanford; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Joel Brown; granddaughters, Taylor and Shaylee Brown; and grandsons, Lonnie, Kenny and Timmy Stanford.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Stanford.
Dad was a gentle, caring, loving man who was a very hard worker. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a very dedicated, loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather who was very dedicated to his whole family. His grandkids were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2003, at Victory Christian Center, 313 3rd St. Benton City.
Donations may be made in Larrys memory to Sue Stanford, 35003 N. Sunset Rd., Benton City, WA 99320.
We can only offer our prayer that the Lord will bring you peace at this time of loss of your soul mate. Know that the Lord has work for him to do there. Know also that you have family and friends that care for you and will be your strength. Hold on to that strength. Your friends,

Deepest sympathy to the family of Larry Stanford. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Hello,
My name is Teri Rasmussen. I work with Larry Stanford at Parsons here in Pasco, WA. He is a wonderful, kind and nice man. I am glad to get the chance to meet and know him.
Teri
I send my deepest condolences. Larry and Charlie were my grandparent’s foster children that were always at the ranch from my earliest childhood memories. They were there when I learned to swim in the Methow, sled McFarland Creek and pick strawberries for grandma to can. Intricate parts of my family in those early years.
I’m sorry there wasn’t time to connect since Larry’s recent call last month.
