Olin Arthur Jordan
Olin A. Jordan, 79, of Richland, passed away on October 6, 2003 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick. He was born on April 6, 1924 in Bickleton, WA to William and Louella Jordan.
He was drafted right out of Renton High School in 1943. After basic training he joined the U. S Army Rangers. During the Normandy invasion, he was badly injured in Dieppe where he earned a Purple Heart. After recovering from his injuries, he then served in the U. S. Army Air Corp.
Olin was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Christ the King Parish. As a Boy Scout, Olin received his Eagle Scout Rank.
Olin lived in the Tri-City area since 1945 and retired in May 1986 as a sheet metal mechanic for Westinghouse. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler.
He is survived by his wife Helen; daughter, Jeanne Davis and husband Richard of Lancaster, CA and a grandson Andrew Pearce. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Olin was preceded in death by his parents, 8 siblings and a daughter, JoAnne, and her husband, James M. Pearce.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday October 9th at 7:00pm at Einans Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday October 10th at 10:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by a graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.
