Kathryn Lucile Moore

Kathryn Lucile Moore passed away on November 29, 2003 at her home in Richland, WA.

Kathryn Katie was born on March 23, 1925 in Kinderhook Township, MI to John and Imogene Coppus Ryan.

Katie lived most of her adult life in Richland, WA. Katie was a salesperson at Trustworthy Hardware in Richland for 18 years. Katie was an excellent seamstress and cook. During World War II, Katie worked as a riveter in Michigan to support the war effort. She loved being surrounded by her family and Christmas was very special to her.

Katie met and married her husband Richard Moore in 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her son Randy.

Katie is survived by her daughter Charlene Richard Moore-Harding of Seattle and her son Dennis at home.

She is also survived by her brothers John Ryan, Russell Ryan and her sister Mildred Clarence Wintersteen and their children. Katie also has many cousins on this side of her family.

On her husband’s side she is survived by Rowena Calvin Schragg, Nihl Marlee Moore and Gauin Helen Moore. She is also survived by a very special friend and sister-in-law Ruth Cannon. There are also numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be graveside services at 3:30 on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorials in Katie’s honor. They may be mailed to Ruth Cannon at 1956 Sheridan Place, Richland, WA 99352.
