William Davis Rees
William Davis Rees, 84, of Richland, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2003, at Hospice House in Kennewick. He was born May 25, 1919, in Kingwood, West Virginia to Brook and Inez Burdick Rees.
Mr. Rees resided in Oakland, MD for 22 years before moving to Richland in 1960. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a life long love of family, music, and dancing. He retired from Battelle as a chemical technician.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rew Rees of Richland; daughter, Beverly Wolfe Ray of Galt, CA; stepchildren, Sue Shaffer of Richland, Gregory Olsen Denise of Moxie, WA, Marci Willison of Oak Ridge, TN; and Marilyn Reynolds Dan, Cherrie Gale Ken, Howard Rew Jr. Janna, all of Richland; 27 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brook and Inez Rees; his first wife, Arlene Rees; second wife, Garda Olsen Rees; brother, Brook Allen Rees; and sisters, Mary Ball, Myra Martin, and Inez Walker.
Visitation will be at Einans Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2003, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Thayer Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

I am so thankful that “Dad” Bill became a part of our family. He was such a caring and loving husband to Mom and so good to all of us. I loved his sense of humor and enjoyed visiting with him. He was a dear and wonderful man. I will miss him very much. I will love him forever.
