  • It has been my pleasure for the past year to get to know Betty. She was a friend and tablemate of my mother’s, Ruby Tindall at Richland Gardens. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and I enjoyed the many times I sat at the dinner table with the ladies of table 24. Betty was appreciative and enjoyed the treats, desserts and dinners I brought occassionally throughout the year. Cathy was a great help in organizing some of the dinners and we all had a good time.I tried hard to keep her coffee cup filled and her Sweet and Low handy. It was my pleasure to bring just a little joy and change to the lives of “my ladies”. She will be missed and remembered by Melba, Vira, Ruby and myself as her place at the table sits sadly empty. It will never be the same.

I remember when Larry showed up as a surprise with flowers for Betty and I just happened to know who and where Betty sat. It was a precious moment to see the surprise and joy in her face.

Cathy was a wonderful and devoted daughter that Betty mentioned often with love and appreciation. It was wonderful to have gotten aquainted with Cathy as well.

I want to express deep sympathy to the family in your loss but be comforted by the thought that she loved and lived well.

  • Dear Cathy and family: I am very sorry for your loss of Mom. I know she has been ill for so long but that dosen’t diminish the pain. I can see by her picture, she was beautiful and a great smile. God Bless you and yours. Linda
