Francis E. Packard, 74 born in Milaca Minnesota, entered into rest on April 23, 2004 at Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, WA. He was born on July 12,1929 to Robert H. Packard and Evva E. Miller.

He was raised in Milaca Minnesota and enlisted in the U.S, Army serving during World War II until his discharge on December 20, 1947.

He married Lenora Margaret Packard in -1948 in Montasano, WA and they were married for 30 years. They resided in Richland, Washington raising their two adopted children Keith Eugene Packard and Kelli L. Piggee. He worked for Standard Oil as a manager before becoming disabled in 1962.

Francis, known as Fritz to all of his family and friends enjoyed sports such as baseball and football both playing and following his favorite teams Minnesota Vikings and towards this last year he supported the Seattle Mariners. He was also a boxing fan since he boxed in the Army and held a few titles. He also enjoyed watching Ali known back then to him as ''Cashes Clay'' He also enjoyed trout fishing, deep-sea fishing, camping, playing cards, cribbage, shuffleboard and pool.

Fritz is survived by his son Keith Eugene Packard, daughter, Kelli L. Piggee, both of Richland, brother Jack Packard of Newbury Park, California, brother Phillip Packard of Yakima, WA, brothers Jim Packard, Don Packard, and Stewart Packard all from Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert H. and Evva E. Packard, brother Burton Packard, brother, Robert Packard, brother Harry Packard, brother Joyce Packard of Washington, and sister Maryann who died just a few weeks old.

A funeral service will be held on Friday April 30th at 2:00pm at Einan’s Funeral Home in Richland. Visitation will be held on Friday from 8:00am until his service time.

Memorial contributions may be a charity of one’s choice.
