Alice Rose Jenkins died May 13, 2004, in Kennewick. She was 78.
Alice was born in Lindsay, CA, on July 17, 1925, to Frank and Lodovina Daniele. She graduated from high school in Pittsburg, CA, in 1943.
Alice married Gerald Jerry R. Jenkins on June 16, 1945. They had two daughters. Jerry and Alice moved to the Tri-Cities in 1951.
Alice was devoted to her family and made the best spaghetti ever. She enjoyed ceramics and fishing with her family. She had great determination and strength, which were shown throughout the health problems she experienced over the years.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Vicki and Gary Chapman and Edye Jenkins and Dennis Heath, sister-in-law Vi Daniele, grand-daughter and husband, Danele Chapman and Ken Jean, grand-daughter and husband Gari-Annette and Mike Lindblom, grand-daughter and husband Stephanie and Chris Sather, great grandsons Ian Chapman and Kyle Lindblom, great grand-daughters Chelsea Chapman and Sophia Sather, many other family members and good friends Bill and Doris Hodges. A special thank-you to good friend and caregiver Darlene Bern at the Garden at Columbia Center and the Hospice staff.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Jenkins, parents, Frank and Lodovina Daniele, sisters Nini Macavoy and Vicki Bertoglio, brother Charles Daniele, grandson Scott Chapman and grand-daughter Kerensa-Leigh Chapman.
At Alices request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We love and miss you, mom.
