From Richland, WA, US | Born in Seman, Alabama
Bobby Clinton Reddish
On May 16, 2004 Bobby ''Red'' Reddish passed into the arms of the Lord. Born and raised in Seman, Alabama, Bobby grew from humble beginnings into a man of unquestioned integrity and compassion. Nurtured by a career in the US Army, he demonstrated love of his country and fellow man by serving in a variety of medical related duties. Throughout his military career, Bobby ministered to the health of his comrades in Korea, Germany and finally in EI Paso, Texas where he retired. Along the way, he became a Mason, a lifetime member of the VFW, and an avid fisherman. After retiring from the military he continued his life of service as a physician's assistant for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Bobby spent over half of his life in Texas and developed a deep fondness for his adopted state. A fondness, however, that was never supplanted by his love of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his only son, Everett. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Kyung Ja, two daughters, Jane Schubert of Richland and Janet Moriarty of Kenai, Alaska, two sons-in-law, Steve Schubert and Mike Moriarty, and his daughter-in-law Diane Reddish of Lubbock, Texas; and a sister, Betty Welden of Montgomery, Alabama. Bobby was proud to be ''Papa'' to his eight grandchildren, one granddaughter-in-law and two great grandchildren. And not to be forgotten his beloved dog, Sally.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 2:00pm at Einans Funeral Home in Richland, WA. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kadlec Medical Center Foundation for the garden section, 888 Swift Blvd., Richland, WA 99352.
I will always cherish the brief time I spent with Mr. Reddish – he was so happy to be back home with his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I enjoyed getting to know Bobby in the short time I have worked for Dr. Szvetecz. He was a wonderful, caring human. Not to mention a fellow TEXAN God bless,
Lori Pierce
Please forgive my spelling,at 30 I still have problems, but I just have to let you all know what a great man Mr. Reddish was! Every week Mr. Reddish would come in to the J.C.Pennys salon and wait patientaly for his lovely wife to get her hair done, he would fill our salon with his southern hospatality! I got to know him with a cup of water one day while he was waiting, I to am from the south, so to sit and talk to him felt like he was also a part of my family! My husband was also in the Army and servied in Korea, we would talk alot about the food and how my husband wish I would cook the foods he ate in Korea! After getting to know Mr.Reddish, I was able to talk him into lettig me cut his hair! I will miss him dearly, but am greatful that I got to know him! My toughts and prayers are with the family and his wounderful wife! God Bless, Stephanie Blakefield J.C.Pennys Salon
My deepest sympathies to the Reddish family. Although my interactions with Red were brief, he was so very comfortable and enjoyable to visit with. I know he meant so much to his family.
I know you will miss him, but remember his spirit lives on, and one day he will rise again, perfect and immortal. “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
1st Corinthians 15:22
Despite the sting of death, I hope you will feel joy and peace in the victory which Christ has provided for us.
God bless your family – Anne Carroll

Jame and Family – I am so sorry for your loss and grief. No words can bring you comfort, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Anyone who has ever had a friend, whom he or she could talk to for hours and never run out of things to laugh and talk about, will understand my great sorrow in reading of Bobs passing. As I write this little note, tears are streaming down my cheeks. I can see him still, setting beside me around a campfire at Bonito Lake, or in the bitter cold beside Lake Roberts fishing. We pulled our campers together all over southern New Mexico. I taught him how to smoke brisket, and he in turn, instilled in me a love of trout fishing that lives with me still. I will never set beside a campfire or wet my fishing line again without think of my friend BOB. I once told him, not so very long ago, that I hoped to see him again before one of us passed over the great divide. He laughed, and simply said, he hoped so too. Well that meeting never happened, but if God is willing, he will set us down together beside a great fishing hole, and let us talk, and laugh, and fish together for a very long time.
We have known Bob and Mitch since 1970. I worked with Bob for 17 years and had the highest respect for his knowledge and integrity. We enjoyed many a camping and fishing trip with Bob and Mitch which we will cherish forever. Our sincere love and condolences to Mitch, Janie, Janet and all of Bob’s greater family.
