Dear Uli, Near,Perkins, and Wiley Families:
It is with great sadness I write a precious and tender till we meet again my friend to a very, very dear friend. I met June in the Spring of 1981 at Rockwell International. I was working in Purchasing and she worked for Sperry Univac Inc at the Federal Building in Richland. June had a computer and printer torn apart in a million pieces and I walked over to her and said I’ll bet you $5 bucks you can’t get all those parts back in that machine so that it will ever run again. She wheeled around and looked at me, laughed her contagious laugh and said you are on! That was the start of our wonderful friendship. June had a zest for life and Loved each and all of her family dearly. We would stay up and talk and mostly laugh for hours about life, loves and most of all Dorothy. She truly loved her beautiful Dorth! We shared alot of memories together like Softball League, Tennis Games, Real Estate Courses, and just being great friends. I looked forward to a phone call, visit or a prank joke from June because no matter what my mood was before I would see or talk to her. I always ended up laughing, and seeing life in a happier, jovial light. June is truly one in a million and an angel from heaven here on earth. We were very blessed to have her for as long as we did. I know all of June’s family and friends has an angel in heaven now to watch over them. I hope and pray for all of us to go on and live life the best we can untill we meet our dearest Daughter, Mom, Wife, Sister, Grandma and our Dearest Friend June again.
God Bless You!
Dear,Dorthy,Terry,& Family,my deepest condolences are for all of you.We all lost a very special friend! June will be missed very much bye all! Angi,Mark & Sean
Dear, Dorthy,Terry & family ,my condolences are with all of you, I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. June will be missed very much! Your friend,Angie & sons, Mark & Sean !
I met June when I worked for Rockwell Hanford in 1984 in Purchasing. She came in often to fix the printers, you know, the kind that make five copies at once. She was amazing at fixing those old things and always brought her cheery smile and lightened up the work place with her easy laugh.
We missed her when she left that job. The next repairman wasn’t nearly so friendly and couldn’t seem to fix the printers nearly so well!
Now I deliver USA TODAY newspapers to stores in the early morning hours and saw June often. If we had a spare minute she would tell me she watched her grandkids or about the family. She always had a friendly smile for all the customers and a “Have a nice day” for everyone. She knew so many by name. Her last words to me that day were “Have a nice day, Leah” and mine to her were “You too, June”. I wish I had said more.
June was a jewel. I hope you find comfort in knowing that many, many people miss her every day and are thinking of you and praying for you also. God bless you.
My deepest condolences to all Junes family and closest friends.
I have known June since the early 90’s when we met working together at the Meadow Springs 7-11. June was one of the most upbeat and positive people I have met in a long time. I know she was very proud of her daughter and grandchildren. It always seemed as if June never knew a stranger. She will be deeply missed.
