Orville C. Wise, 60, of West Richland, passed away on May 5, 2004 at home after being diagnosed with cancer in mid-April. He was born on October 16, 1943 to Orel and Lillian Wise in Goldendale, WA.

He lived in the West Richland for 6 years. He had been living with his sister Juanita in West Richland since January 2004.

Orville worked as a farm laborer in Oregon and the Walla Walla area. He had also lived in Idaho for 8 years with his sister and many friends.

He enjoyed helping others, tinkering around, gardening, doing puzzles and playing cards. Orville helped build his sister’s home, he was a gentle giant and he was always there for others and never asked for anything in return. Orville was also very fond of Abby, Molly and Simba.

Orville is survived by his mother Lillian Wise of Walla Walla; brother Virgil Wise of Walla Walla; sisters Juanita Moore from West Richland, Carlene Moreland of Walla Walla; nephew Richard Moore of Finley; and niece Nancy Moore of Spokane. He is also survived by 2 grand nephews and 1 grand niece.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A graveside service will be held at the Echo Cemetery in Echo, Oregon on Friday May 14, 2004 at 11:00am.
