  • Dad,

The next sunrise I see, will be the first Fathers Day in my life without you to share it with.

For wherever our journeys and adventures found us throughout the past 48 years, I always found comfort in knowing that we greeted each and every morning under the warm glow of the same Sun.

I’m so glad we were able to once again “hunker down”, if only for a short time last week, and renew our unspoken and timeless bond.

So many trails to remember,..so many high mountain meadows,…so many “Pilgrims” to meet. Please say “Hi” to the Wildcat, and try to leave a few Buff for me!

Remember, blaze a good trail , as I won’t be too far behind you…. I wish you always,..A Full Pot,..A full Pipe,…And a Full Head of Hair….The sun on the back of your neck, a sturdy and stable horse, and piles of “plews”

So long, my Ol’ Pard,…and keep yer powder dry,……….

    Forever and Always,

    Your Devoted Son,

    Steve

  • Denniece and Family,

Thinking of you and sharing in your loss of Donny. If only our trip would have been sooner we would have been able to hug you one more time… but by now, you have brightened up Heaven for your Family and friends who have gone before you.

Say hi to Cass for us and give him a big hug from Mom. We will meet again.

Donny touched so many people in his time here on earth, that he will be very sadly missed.

Much love to all of you,

  • Hi Dad. I love saying those words, and you know we’ll be talking! You make me smile when I think of you. What a great time we had last summer for the family reunion, and I feel so lucky that I got to spend that entire week with you. Your gentleness, good spirited nature and big heart is something that I will take with me forever. There was never anyone who wasn’t a friend to you, and how lucky we all were to have you in our lives. I could go on and on, but you know how I feel. We will see each other again, and I look forward to that. Greet Grandma and Grandpa, and everyone else… I so love you dad. Thank you for all that you were in my life. Monica

  • Dad,

The greatest thing you ever taught me is that there is always a little bit of good in everyone. Sometimes you just have to look a little harder. I am a better person for you having been in my life. When I snooze in the chair with my girls I always think of you.

    I will miss you.

Seems like just yesterday Barb, Cindy and I were dancing the hula in the front yard and I was learning the truth about earwigs… Anyway, much love to you all during this time.
