From Kennewick, WA, US | Born in Riverton, Wyoming
Nancy Lou Cloud Galloway
Nancy Lou Cloud Galloway, 67, passed away at her home in Kennewick, on July 5th, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Nancy was born on June 8, 1937 in Riverton, Wyoming to Charles Russell Cloud and Florence Louella Spencer Cloud and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1950.
As a young woman Nancy was an accomplished violinist and maintained that love of music throughout her life. Her greatest gift to all was her sweet and loving nature and wonderful sense of humor. Regardless of what life threw her way, Nancy never complained. She always had a smile and a kind word and was grateful for every day. All who knew her admired her strength and marveled at her ability to rise above adversity and illness. Nancy was a true people person and had countless friends. This was evident in the never-ending line of well wishers that stopped by to visit Nancy in her final days. People just naturally gravitated to her and loved her. Nancy will be missed by many.
Nancys greatest joy was her family and friends and especially her children. She was devoted to her daughter Julie, sons Brad and David, and grandson Dustin.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Russell Cloud and her soul mate, Gordon Carlson. Nancy is survived by her mother, Florence Cloud Patterson, of Kennewick, her brother Charles Thaddeus Cloud and wife Ruth Sandra, of Gillette WY; daughter Julie Robinson of Poulsbo, WA; son Robert Brad Watts and his wife Christy of Kennewick, WA, son David Galloway of New York, NY; grandchildren Dustin Watts, Jillian Erickson and Deonna Erickson, and great grandson Logan Butler, all of Kennewick, WA; nieces Sandra Nicole Cloud, Jennifer Lorraine Cloud of Gillette, WY and nephew Charles Bryan Cloud of Orlando, FL and her cat Sammy. Nancy will also be missed by her just like sisters Janie Avalos and Sandy DeMotts.
A memorial service will be held at Einans Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made in Nancys memory to Hospice in Kennewick.
I am so thankful I can express my condolences to you in this way. Yesterday, I had my next to last Chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. I barely made the grade in my blood counts, to have the treatment yesterday. So, following the medical advice of staying away from gatherings and watching about my food, etc., I am trying to keep my blood counts up enough to have the last treatment next week. We already had to skip two treatments earlier, when I “caught something,” so now I have to be extra cautious.
This would have been such a wonderful opportunity to meet many of my relatives at the Memorial Service. I am truly sad that I cannot come today.
If it would be possible to receive a copy of the program, my address is 4754 W. Hwy 260, Connell, WA 99326. My phone is 509 234 6341.
I am very thankful that I was able to see Nancy briefly, and bring the old family pictures, last Thursday. How I wish she and I would have kept up our Christmas card exchange in the past few years. I have learned a sad lesson from this.
Thank you to Chuck and Julie and Brad for your hospitality to our daughter, Robin, and me last Thursday. I hope we will not lose track of you.
I case you need this information, I am Nancy’s and Chuck’s second cousin on her father’s side. My mother was Louella Allison Bauman, a first cousin of Russell Cloud. Their mothers were Chamberlain sisters Julia Etta and Daisy.
Lovingly, Anna and Keith Herrman and family, Paul Herrman son, Robin Herrman daughter, and Heidi Matsumura daughter
Thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Love,
Nikki

Everyday with Nancy was was special for me. She had such a beautiful smile, i liked to make her laugh at silly things between us.We went to many shows together, and trips to Walla Walla to eat, and just ding around. I truly loved Nancy more than my own sister`s, because we did so much together. She liked to go to bazars and we went to a hockey game, she really liked that. Her and i used to play games at night like canasta and yautzi, and scrable. She is truly like a soul sister to me. Love you forever Nancy, you were a very special person. love Sandie DeMotts
