Dorothy Clara Jewett

Dorothy C. Jewett, a long time resident of Kalispell, Montana, began a better journey on August 24, 2004. Dorothy was born November 5, 1917, in Saskatchewan, Canada where she remained until marriage to Fred in 1937. They moved about Saskatchewan and Alberta, Canada and the USA from Indiana, Tennessee, Utah, and finally to Montana in 1946. They remained in Kalispell during their working years where they raised daughter, Sharon Vasquez and son James. Upon retirement they rotated between Mesa, Arizona in the winter and Kalispell in the summer. Dorothy and Fred also enjoyed traveling to visit friends and relatives across the USA and Canada. Following Fred's passing in 1988, Dorothy remained in Kalispell until 1999 when she moved to Richland, Washington to be near son, Jim and his family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her daughter Sharon, and two sisters, Francis Lang and Genevieve Howell. Surviving Dorothy are son, Jim, grandsons, Matthew Atlanta, Georgia and Christopher Jewett Corpus Christi, Texas, Travies Vasquez and granddaughter, Tabetha Vasquez Lorta Iuka, Mississippi, sister, Sunny Harris and brother, Clarence Grant Calgary, Canada and four great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered and missed. One of her favorite things to do was to listen to music played by Cy Howell and ''the band''-so play away Cy and dance, Dorothy, dance!

Graveside services were held on August 26, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland, WA.
