EINANS FUNERAL HOME
Carol Jeanne Miller, beloved wife of Jim, died November 17, 2004 at her home.
On February 6, 1934 in Cripple Creek, Colorado, Donald and Hazel Latta, along with brother Don welcomed Carol into the world. They resided there until she was 10 years old and then they moved to the Hanford area. Carol attended Richland schools and graduated form the Columbia High School. Washington State University was Carols College of choice and she graduated there with a BA in Sociology. After graduation she moved to Seattle, WA for an internship in the field of Social Work. After finishing her internship she worked for DCFS in Pasco, WA.
Carol met Jim in the summer of 1956 and they married on July 14, 1957. Jim was the joy of her life and together they welcomed three wonderful sons, Jim, Steve and Barry to their family. Carol was a member of Westside United Protestant Church and had many varied interests that included travel, various bridge groups, bowling leagues, and yearly camping and boating trips to Priest Lake, Idaho. She had beautiful collections and a love for antique dolls. She was an avid sports fan and always loyal to the teams of Washington State.
Carol had a great love of family and had a wealth of wonderful friendships. She loved her animals and leaves her puppies, Lily and Arnie to watch over Jim.
Carol is survived by her husband Jim, sons Jim, Steve Joetta, and Barry Lynnette, four beautiful grandchildren, Shalin and Jimmy Jim, and Brandon and Brock Steve. Jim and Carol have derived great pleasure and pride watching them grow.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
Special thanks to John Lipp and Sheila Phillips of Westside Church for all of their visits, caring and prayers. The family wishes to express deep appreciation for Hospice and all they have done in such a loving and compassionate manner.
Always, forever and then some, we will love you, our dear Carol.
A memorial service for our loved one will be held Tuesday November 30, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Westside Church. In lieu of flowers, please make your donations to Hospice.
To Carol’s family: Carol and I were friends from the moment we met when we first moved to Richland. Our mothers, both teachers, were also life-time friends. My sincere sympathy to all your family for you were well loved and will be missed so much. It is my privilege that we could share so many things together and that we will be “forever” friends. Love, Lurene aka Bernie
Dear Jim and Family,
We Send you our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.We have memories of our school years together and of seeing you and Carol out and about town atleast once a year. While we miss our friends and loved ones, we have the comfort of knowing that a life has now taken on the light of eternity and we have been blessed to have that light come our way.

Being a classmate I have known Carol for years. She has always been such a kind, giving and loving person. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
To all the Miller family. Carol was an amazing lady. Growing up “big jim’ and I were great friends. The Miller family let me go on their Priest Lake outings 3 different times. They treated me like one of their own. They taught me to water ski–not an easy thing to do to pull me out of the water. I know it’s tough to lose a special lady like Carol but I want you boys to know and your dad as well that alot of people were affected by the love and attention your mom gave others. I have always had a special place in my heart for your mother. Take care guys….pooh bear
Dear Miller.
Being a classmate of Carol in “52”.She has always been such a kind, giving and loving person. She will be missed by all she touched.
Jim,Jim,Steve,Barry;
Sad to hear about your loss. She was very special. She was the one who taught me to water ski, and I never will forget how patient she was with me I taught my kids the same way. She made her home a great place to be for neighbor hood kids. Thank you Carol, and your family for all the great childhood memories.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jim and family,
I am sorry for your great loss. You have been good friends of our mom for some time. I remember going to school with Jim and playing around together as our parents visited.
Jim, you and Carol were good and thoughtful friends with our mom. She took great pleasure in your friendship. Such long and thoughtful friendships are a gift from God and hard to find. God bless and give you great comfort in your time of loss. Thank you so much Carol for the many years you stuck by our mom and gave her the precious gift of friendship. We will always be thankful!

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of the Miller family. God’s blessings as you walk through this time.
Dear Miller Farmily,
I knew Mrs. Miller and loved her cherry heart when Barry and I would be at the house. It was always nice to hear Barry letting me know she was following my son, Westley, thru his baseball. She will be missed by all she touched.
Warm memories of a *Special Friendship* spanning over 55 years fill my “Heart’s Diary.”
I join the family of Carol Jeanne Miller in grief over her loss and offer my Love and Support in any way, at any time…

My daughter Kathy and I send our deepest sympathy to Carol’s family, especially Jim. Carol and I became good friends at WSU and have stayed in touch through the years. On my infrequent visits to Richland, we would get together for lunch, and it would seem as though no time had lapsed since we had seen each other. Carol was intelligent, well read, warm and caring. She was a good friend and will be sorely missed.

I was so shocked and saddened to read of Carol’s death. I never dreamed the last time I would see her would be at my mother’s funeral. My thoughts are with her wonderful family.
