Violet Ann Isakson
Violet A. Isakson passed into the loving arms of her Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at the Tri Cities Hospice House in Kennewick. Violet was born on September 15, 1913 to Chester and Amy Turner McMahill in Ava, Missouri.
Vi spent most of her youth in Columbus, Montana. She met her future husband Percy Isakson at a Columbus dance and they were married in Coeur d Alene Idaho on June 18, 1938. Married life started out in Columbus then to Anaconda, MT. Percy and Vi moved to Richland in August of 1943.
Vi loved horses in her youth. She enjoyed scrapbooks and was active in all of her childrens activities. She was a wonderful homemaker and liked to can and bake. She also worked for a number of years in various retail sales positions. Vi was a very active and faithful member of Richland Lutheran Church. Percy and Vi during their retirement years spent many happy times at their camp site at Mountain River Trails in Cle Elum.
Vi is survived by her daughter Barbara Rau and Daughter-in-law Gretchen Isakson both of Richland. She is survived by 4 grandchildren Cindy Utecht and her husband Tim of West Richland, Todd Rau of Oregon City, OR, Pete Isakson and wife Kelly of Troy, ID, and Kristin and husband Chris VanSant of San Diego, CA. Vi is survived by 4 great grandchildren, Amity, Dustin and April Utecht and Cody Isakson. She is survived by a sister Elsie Smith of Spokane, brother Don McMahill and wife Dee of Newman Lake, WA, sister-in-law Muriel McMahill of Kennewick and goddaughter Mary Isakson McLachlan of Post Falls, ID.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband Percy, son David Isakson, son-in-law Bob Rau, and 2 brothers Melvin and Clark McMahill.
Viewing will be Monday evening 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 am till noon at Einans Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Richland Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Richland Lutheran Church Camp Fund, Good News Media Ministry, Richland Lutheran Church Foundation or The Tri Cities Chaplaincy Hospice.
Vi was a very kind and caring person. I have many fond memories of her and Percy. May the family find comfort in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior. Prayers are with the family.

Hello this is Marlenes daughter. I enjoyed spending time with Vi the last 6 months. She was a very nice lady…I remember her sweet voice when we spoke last week.
