Inez M. Shoopman

Inez M. Shoopman, daughter of Henry and Ciria Murray, passed away peacefully December 21, 2004, surrounded by her family. She was born August 17, 1923, in Veracruz, Mexico. Inez is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Paul Plum of West Richland, Washington, grandchildren, Edward Allen and wife Buffy of Jacksonville, Florida, Laura Einan and husband Don of Bellingham, Washington, Debbie Plum of Everett, Washington, and Sarah Jackson and husband Bryan of West Richland, Washington. She also leaves her sister, Katie Perez and brothers, Henry and Tommy Murray of Mexico, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Our grandma led a full and active life. She loved to surround herself with beauty. She touched a lot of hearts through her smile and sense of humor. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Grandma was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She loved to travel to her favorite spots and loved exploring new destinations. Grandma had a strong work ethic, working for the Salvation Army West Coast Headquarters as Supervisor of the Donations Department, until her retirement at 71. In her last year she resided at Home Sweet Home in Pasco where she was well cared for. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, the two great loves of her life, Donald Evans and Harold Shoopman and brother, Jimmy Murray. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Inez' memory to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice.

  • I’ve been thinking of this beautiful lady and how much I missed her for many years. At a moment of curiosity I enter her name on the internet and this beautiful picture of her brought more memories of times we shared in California. After so many years of her passing, I still feel an emptiness in my heart that can’t be filled with the love and joy Inez gave us. I was blessed and honored to have had this great lady in my life. I learned so much from her and still remember her voice and it brings a smile. I have missed her dearly and pray for all her family that gave her so much love.
