  • When I think of Mr Lampton I have to smile. He was very kind to me while I was growing up. I had a horrible stuttering problem as a child, and he always took the time to “really” listen to me when I was talking to him. Instead of correcting me, talking for me or worse yet walk away, Mr Lampton would stay put and very patiently wait for me to finish. Mr Lampton was the first adult that made me feel what I had to say was important.

Another fond memory? His pickup truck. I laugh everytime I think about it. That is all I can say as Kim will have my head on a platter if I say anymore.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Uncountable thousands of Scouts, Scouters, and families are grateful for Al’s devotion and service to Scouting. All of those lives are better, and all of our communities are better, because of the life that Al lived.

His memory will live on in Scouting.

You are all in our prayers.
