Zelma Ruppersberger Flemm February 17, 1913 to April 4, 2005

Zelma Ruppersberger Flemm, 92, of Richland, WA, died Monday of natural causes at Canyon Lakes Restorative and Rehabilitation Center, Kennewick, WA.

Born in Freeport, PA to Charles and Millicent Ruppersberger, she graduated from Freeport High School where she later was a popular teacher of French and English. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Along with Paul L. Flemm, the high school sweetheart she married, she made homes in Freeport, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, PA. Surviving are the couples’ two children, Jane Flemm Anderson and husband Frank of Richland, WA and Paul D. Flemm and wife Vicki of Silverdale, WA. She is also survived by one sister, Maxine King of Wexford, PA and four grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Paul, brother Charles Ruppersberger and sister Gladys Brunt.

Mrs. Flemm resided with her husband in Mt. Lebanon, PA a suburb of Pittsburgh for over 40 years. They were members of Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church where, for more than 20 years, they were active charter members of its Adult Interest Center.

Inurnment will be in Freeport Cemetery on Saturday, May 21st. Arrangements are being made by Redmond Funeral Home, Freeport, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
