From West, Richland, WA, US | Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia
Juanita Catherine Bee
Juanita was born September 22, 1914. She died peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law August 20, 2005. While she had only one child she was very proud that she had 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Every member of her family was as special to her as she was to them. She was known as Nanny by all of the grandchildren. Her nightstand always held special treats known as Nanny Candy that she would give to her grandchildren when they came to visit. She always had hugs, kisses and smiles to make the candy sweeter. Sometimes she would give them a dollar known as a George when they accomplished something good in school, sports, or helped someone. The saying soon became ''That ought to be worth a George''. Her ''kids'' were the light of her life. Family was everything to her.
She was Sharon & Frank's Free Cell game cheerleader from her bed. if they were having difficulty with the game, and finally won, she let them know they had won because she had kept her fingers crossed for them.
Her family was with her in the last days of her life and many of them at the time of her passing. She was able to listen to her great grandson Jimmy talk to her on the phone from Kuwait. She could hear him even though she was unable to answer.
She celebrated her 90th Birthday last September with family and friends. She was quite proud of that accomplishment.
Juanita was a past member of the Womens Club and a member of Central United Protestant Church in Richland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years James Bee, parents John Casto and Leota Burdett Hains, her sister Violet Hains Pullen, her brothers Claude Haines and Clyde Haynes, and niece Susie Haynes Nelson.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Bee Burks and husband Frank, Grandson James Burks and wife Lorrie, Granddaughter Shelly Burks Baker and husband JR, Grandson David Burks and wife Laura.
Great Grandchildren, Michelle Burks Maxwell and husband Shawn, James Burks and wife Katie, Jayse Lampson, Adam Baker, Megan Baker, Dustin Baker, Alec Burks, Ryan Burks and Lauren Burks.
Great great Grandchildren Darrien, Maddie, Mikey and Sydney Maxwell, Jordyn and Justin Burks.

Visitation will be at Einans from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday.
Aunt Sharon –
I’m so sorry to hear of Juanita’s passing.
Juanita will always have a special place in my heart. She was always so kind to me, just as though I was one of her own grandchildren… And I considered her a special grandmother as well. She had such a zest for life and it was always fun to spend time with her at all the family gatherings. She had such wonderful jokes and stories to tell. I will especially remember her laugh and the mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
It’s never easy to lose someone you love. Keep all your special memories of her close to your heart and know that although her physical presence is gone, she will always be close to you in spirit. She is at peace now with the loved ones that have gone on ahead of her… and they are all probably having a grand party up in heaven to welcome her! :-
I apologize that I can’t be there to hug you and the family in person. Please know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come.
All our love – Ann, Chad and the Girls

I have been blessed to have made an acquaintance with Nanny. Never knowing her real nameWhen I met her I saw in her eyes a beautiful, stong, kind and witty soul.
She gave me a gift~~ In my remembrance of her no matter what the world throws at you, you can still find a bright side with a smile.
Mrs Nanny Bee you did your job well here on this earth and you will be very missed.
I pray that the Lord personally escorts you up to the Heavens where you belong.
Mr & Mrs Burk and my friends Shelly, JR, Jayse and Adam from the Rezendes family you are in our thoughts and prayers and we express our deepest sympathy.
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mother Juanita. I remember her as a most gracious and kind woman full of fun and laughter….I am sure she will be greatly missed by all of you in her family and those others that were privileged to know her as well….
