Mary Lee McCann

Mary Lee P. Montgomery McCann, 72, passed away quietly at home on August 10, 2005. Mary Lee was born on February 16, 1933 in Patterson, MO. She was the ninth of ten children born to Sylvester & Ella Campbell Montgomery. Mary Lee grew up in Missouri and graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis, MO, in 1951.

Mary Lee married her husband of almost 48 years, Dennis McCann, on August 24, 1957 in St. Louis, MO. They moved from Missouri, Louisiana, Arizona, and Illinois until settling in Richland in 1970.

Mary Lee worked as a bookkeeper locally, retiring from Distinctive Properties, Inc. in 1996. She loved to read, embroider, cook, and travel. Her greatest joy came from her family especially her adored grandchildren.

Mary Lee’s strength of spirit and unconditional love for her husband, family and friends will be fondly remembered by all.

Mary Lee is survived by her husband, Dennis C. McCann; sisters Virginia Montgomery Bell of Richland and Marguerite Montgomery Guess of Missouri; daughters Kathleen Richard Bundrant of Richland, Patty Jones of Elko, NV, and Deborah Garrett Loehding of Pasco; and her beloved grandchildren Leman & Jasmyn Jones, Michelle & Quinn Bundrant, and Lindsey & Alexi Loehding and other family members in abundance. She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester & Ella Montgomery as well as five brothers and two sisters.

At Mary Lee’s request she will be cremated and no funeral service will be held. Please join her family in celebrating Mary Lee’s life anytime between 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2005 at her home at 2127 Briarwood Court, Richland WA. • My thoughts and prayers are with you The McCann’s Family. I will not forget how wonderful mother Mary Lee was to her girls, Kathy and Debbie. I do have good memories of them in my childhood days when the girls and I were in school at Hanford years ago. I will miss her smile and talking to her too. See you later, Kathy and Debbie.
