Mary Lee McCann

Mary Lee P. Montgomery McCann, 72, passed away quietly at home on August 10, 2005. Mary Lee was born on February 16, 1933 in Patterson, MO. She was the ninth of ten children born to Sylvester & Ella Campbell Montgomery. Mary Lee grew up in Missouri and graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis, MO, in 1951.

Mary Lee married her husband of almost 48 years, Dennis McCann, on August 24, 1957 in St. Louis, MO. They moved from Missouri, Louisiana, Arizona, and Illinois until settling in Richland in 1970.

Mary Lee worked as a bookkeeper locally, retiring from Distinctive Properties, Inc. in 1996. She loved to read, embroider, cook, and travel. Her greatest joy came from her family especially her adored grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester & Ella Montgomery as well as five brothers and two sisters.

At Mary Lee’s request she will be cremated and no funeral service will be held. • My thoughts and prayers are with you The McCann’s Family. I will not forget how wonderful mother Mary Lee was to her girls, Kathy and Debbie. I do have good memories of them in my childhood days when the girls and I were in school at Hanford years ago. I will miss her smile and talking to her too. See you later, Kathy and Debbie.
