Patricia Ann Egge

Patricia Egge passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Patricia was born on January 8, 1949 to Patrick and Myrna Hughes in Williston, North Dakota. She grew up in Williston where she met and married Bob Egge. After Bob was discharged from the Navy, they made their home in Williston and Fargo, North Dakota. In 1988 Bob and Patricia moved to the Tri-Cities to work and raise their family.

Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved to fish for walleye and could spend countless hours in the boat, always hoping for one more bite. She also loved to spend time with her family, especially her four grandchildren who were always amazed at their grandmother’s special skills and sense of humor.

Patricia was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Sadie Marie Egge, and by her father Patrick S. Hughes.

She is survived by her loving husband Bob; her daughter Paula LaPierre and husband Kyle and their sons Coen and Lucas of Kennewick, WA; her daughter Amy Johnson and husband Chris and their children Mia and Ben of Kennewick, WA. She is also survived by her mother Myrna Hughes Shannon and step-father Jim of Williston, ND; sister Vonda Prindiville and husband Mike of Richland, WA; sister Kathryn Benoy and husband Tom of Supply, NC; brother Dennis Hughes and wife Margie of Richland, WA; brother James Hughes and wife Paula of Bismarck, ND; brother Mike Hughes and wife Peggy of West Richland, WA; and brother Patrick Hughes of Williston, ND; and many caring nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Viewing will be at Einan’s Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday, August 25th and 26th, 2005 from 5:00-8:00 PM. There will be a Rosary at Einan’s Funeral Home at 6:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2005. A Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Christ the King Church in Richland, WA, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland.

Any donations can be made to a special memorial fund set up at GESA Credit Union, which will then be donated to Rockwood Clinic in Trish’s name.

  • Hello. I was searching for my uncle Robert Egge’s obituary today, and I stumbled in this. My moms maiden name was Egge and she was born just over the MT border. Are we related to Pat’s husband Bob by chance?

  • Bob, while I didn’t know your wife Patricia, I’m sure that she must have been a wonderful lady since she was married to you. I’m really sorry that she passed at so young an age.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can remember so clearly what a wonderful person Auntie Pat was. I loved going to Fargo or to the lake to visit you all. Her kindness and love was always visible to me even when I was a young child. I haven’t been able to see you for many years but I have thought you of you often. You are in our hearts and prayers.

  • Bob, You and your family have our condolences. I was at the Funeral Mass and cemetary and saw you with your girls and grandkids. It is good to see that you have that kind of support all around you. It’s a pleasure to know you and work with you and if in the days and months and years ahead you ever need an ear to bend or a shoulder to cry on, please know that I’m at your service.

  • Robert,Paula and Amy,

We are so sorry for your loss,we are crying with you and hope you find comfort through the many family and friends that love you and loved her. She always made us laugh in a way nobody else could. Kristen always called her Grandma Trish and every time we drove by her house, she would say “that’s where Grandma Trish lives”. I expect she will continue to say that, since people like her are not soon forgotten. She was very unique in her own funny and special way. She will be missed and so will all of her wonderful decorating ideas. My prayers are with you.

  • My name is Lynn Zimmerman

    Russell, daughter of Harold

    and Dorothy Zimmerman.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Patricia was my cousin,

and we used to have such fun,

when we were younger. Too bad we all grow up and lose contact with one another. We had no idea that Patricia was

even sick, so was a sad day

when we picked up the paper.

She was always so so strong.

Now she and Pat and Sadie are

    together. Our Sympathy to the

    rest of her family.

  • Dear Bob,

We knew Patricia was fighting a battle and we felt so helpless. Now we feel even more helpless and we have no words to express our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to you and your family. We read how loving and caring she was and how the family was loved by her so dearly. Such persons are God-sent on this earth and leave behind a legacy which you must all treasure. Please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts and if there is anything we can do, please call on us without hesitation. Once again, we send you our deepest wishes for peace and strength in your heart at this time and for many years to come.
