Harold George Gottsch
Harold George Gottsch, 69, of Richland, passed away October 4, 2005 in Richland. He was born September 20, 1936 in Coleman, South Dakota and was raised in Wilder, Idaho, where he worked on the family farm. He graduated from Wilder High School and later moved to Richland to work at General Electric, Hanford. He transferred to Sandvik Special Metals, Richland, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1998.
He married Benita Wahl in 1958 and they had two great sons, Alan and Craig. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, white water rafting and spending time with his family at the cabin in the Blue Mountains, which he dearly loved. He also enjoyed his 55 hard-top cashmere blue and India white Chevrolet, his pride and joy.
Being the Grand Marshall in the Fourth of July parade in his home town of Wilder was one of Harolds proudest moments. He also participated in the Senior Division of the Sage Brush Games, 25 miles on bicycle and 15 miles the next day on rollerblades. He loved to do woodworking projects as gifts for family and friends.
Harold is survived by his wife Benita; sons Alan and Amy, and Craig and wife Kim; grandchildren Rikki-Lee and Matthew; sister Ruth of Idaho; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Memorial service will be 3:30 PM Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Einans Funeral Home, Richland.
Alan,I only knew your dad from the short time I worked with him and his energy and happiness were inspirational.My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of loss.

Alan, I just want you to know that I enjoyed visiting with your dad on Taco Tuesdays at the Big Y, and he always kept me up-to-date on your activities fishing and so forth. I really enjoyed him. Ron
