Robert C. Schuller

Robert C. Bob Schuller was born in Cle Elum, WA on Sept. 6, 1926 to P.G. and Beatrice Schuller. He grew up in Ellensburg and Beverly, WA and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

While working as a laborer on McNary Dam, he met the love of his life, Delma Nugen. They were married on May 3, 1954 in Pasco, WA. They had one son, Robby, who was born on Nov. 18, 1958.

Delma and Robby followed Bob through his long career in construction. After McNary Dam, he worked as a laborer on The Dalles Dam. In 1956, he became an ironworker. He worked on Baker and Mayfield Dams, Pit 6 Dam in CA, and Flaming Gorge Dam in Utah. Next he worked on Mossy Rock, Rocky Reach, Rock Island and Dworchak Dams. In 1973 he moved to the Tri-Cities and worked on the Hanford Sites I, II, and IV until his retirement in 1992.

Bob’s hobbies were fishing, woodworking, gardening, and collecting over 7,000 golf balls while living near the Pasco Golf Course. He attended church at Faith Assembly in Pasco from 1996 until his death.

Bob will be remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor, his kind heart, and his humble and serving nature. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

  • Delma and Robby –

We all want to let you know that we are very saddened by your loss. We have such wonderful memories of Uncle Robert – he was such a kind and generous man. I will always be thankful for the great memories I have of growing up when we all got together. He always made our times together so fun, and I looked so forward to seeing him because he was so much like my dad! We wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
