Peggy Lue Luney
Peggy Lue Luney, 80, of Richland, Washington, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington.
Peggy was born December 1, 1925 to Roy and Meta Love in Douglas County, Missouri.
Peggy started her career in nursing as a student-nurse in World War II where she met her future husband of over sixty years, Victor Luney. Victor was a purple heart recipient and Japanese prisoner-of-war. Before her retirement in 1987, Peggy was a medical technician who made heart valves for Shilley Laboratories.
Peggys one true joy was loving and caring for her family and friends. Her dedication to caring for others will keep her remembered as a truly wonderful and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend. She is loved by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all who knew her. She will always be in our hearts and minds.
Peggy is survived by her son, Gary and his wife Cathy, five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and sister, Lucille Adkins.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Victor Luney, father Roy Love, mother Meta Alhand Love, and brother Robert Love.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at First Christian Church of Pasco at 2:00 PM. The address is 1524 West Marie St., Pasco, WA 99301.
Peggy will be interred with her husband, Victor, at Arlington National Cemetery, with military honors, on April 21, 2006.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be given to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House at 2108 W. Entiat Ave., Kennewick, WA 99336.
