A sad farewell, a wonderful memory, a condolence for her sons, and a prayer of thanks for her being. Mrs. Gardiner was one of my favorites for nearly all my life. Her wit, sense of humor, and those superb tacos she and her family shared with me when I was a kid will always be a treasured part of my memories.
