Minnie Marie Simpson

Our beloved mother Marie Simpson left this earth peacefully early Monday morning, January 23, 2006. Marie was born June 8, 1915 in Wilburton, OK. Marie is survived by her children David and wife Linda of Redmond, WA, Dianne and partner Bill Sheard of Seattle, Tom and wife Darlene of Kennewick and Jim of Richland. Marie is survived by her grandchildren Shawn and husband Scott of Sumner, WA, Mark, Michael and Stephen of Redmond, WA and Trent of Kennewick. Marie was preceded in death by her parents George and Jessie Clark and her loving husband O.R.''Big''Simpson.

Growing weary from many health issues and defying all odds, she fought her final battle courageously even in her weakened condition.

Mom, all of your family and many friends love you dearly and will miss you but are at peace knowing you are now resting in a place that no longer allows pain, suffering or sickness. May you be blessed forever.

As spring was Marie's favorite time of year, we will hold a celebration of her life sometime in April.

It was an honor and a privilege to care for my mother and father in their later years, something I will cherish always-Diane Simpson

  • Dear Sis and Jim,

No one deserves a place in heaven more than the two of you — Your unwavering devotion and care for Marie and Big was beyond comprehension. I hope that it brings you peace to know that they had so many more good moments due to you. And to Marie, your quiet and gentle self and ability to overlook much was an inspiration to me. You hung in there for so long — now is time for sweet rest – and to see your mom again. I will surely miss you. Betsy

  • Dear Jim, Diane, and family,

We are sorry for the loss of your dear mother. Your parents were very blessed to have you take such good care of them in their later years. You both should feel very proud that you were able to put you own lives on hold to care for them as lovingly as you did. You are an inspiration to many people. God Bless the Simpson family.
