John Austin Schuoler, Sr.

John Schuoler, 62, of Benton City, passed away February 1, 2006 in Richland. He was born August 6, 1943 in Fort Meade, South Dakota to Raymond Ivan Schuoler and Lola Austin Schuoler.

He worked as an Electrician out at Hanford for over 26 years. John loved boat fishing, shooting pool and playing with his dogs, and was known by his friends as “Scruffie” and “Cowboy”.

Survivors include his wife Kathryn; son John Austin Schuoler, Jr. and wife Gladys of Covington, WA; daughter Angela Leonard and husband Riley of Pasco, WA; brother Ivan Schuoler of North Bend, WA; mother-in-law Bernice Gladfelder of Benton City, WA; stepchildren Lori and Mike Yoakum of Everett, WA, Anna and Ruben Flores of Lynnwood, WA and Thomas and Joyce Alsbury of Ames, IA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Einan’s Funeral Home, Richland.

    I loved working with him so very much.

  • dear kathy, u probably dont remember me but i was johns stepdaughter at one time and stopped by once to say hi to u both..anyway i just wanted to say i found out today how much he impacted my life…my heart hurts so bad..i havent cried like this in a long time..he spent so much time with me when i was little and all those quiet hours of fishing and workin on the car or the yard or riding on the Harley..they helped me through the years..those quiet hours helped to shape me as a person and he made me feel like someone cared about me..i loved him. i am praying for you and you are in my thoughts…sharie ramos
