Our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Karen F. McAndrew, born 7/30/36 passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her at her home on Sunday, 6/11/06 after a brave battle with cancer. She was 69.

She was a great lady who will be fondly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She loved spending time with her family, working in her garden and yard and summertime swims in the backyard pool. She was a talented artist in her own right, creating beautiful needlework for her family.

She leaves behind daughter, Kathryn Holm Ron, grandchildren, Cassandra Dominic Amato, Ryan, and Dustin Holm; daughter, Jan Jacobs, grandchildren, Leslie Ryan Rasmussen and Eric Jones, and great-granddaughter Riley Harris; son, Michael Showalter Linda; and daughter Lisa Miller David, grandchildren, Kimberly Moon Tim, and Tauni Miller; brother Lynn Hicks, and sister, Nancy Draper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard I. McAndrew, and her mother Iantha Hamilton and step-father, John Hamilton.

There will be a open house memorial gathering at her home on Sunday, 6/18 in the afternoon starting at 2:00 pm.
