Robert ”Bob” W. Lederer
Robert Bob W. Lederer, 80, of Kennewick, passed away June 4, 2006 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick. He was born January 18, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Rosalia Oparka Lederer.
Bob has been in the Tri-Cities since 1946. He worked as a Nuclear Chemical Operator, having worked for GE, Battelle, ARCHO, Rockwell, and retired from Westinghouse. He served in the US Army during World War II, patrolling the Manhattan Project.
He enjoyed photography, marksmanship, fishing, camping, golfing and bowling and was a long-time member of the Tri-City Shooting Association and the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, LouAnne Lederer; sister, Gloria Vassmer; brother, Ray Olsta; daughter, Susan Hounshell and husband Edward of Plymouth, WA; daughter, Sandy Hogan and husband Pat of Richland; daughter, Pamela Hamblin and husband Craig of Kennewick; daughter, Beverly Kroll and husband Malcolm of Richland; daughter, Bonnie Van Woerkem and husband Tony of Pagosa Springs, CO; son, Alan Bates and wife Leah of Kennewick; daughter, Diane Swannack and husband Russell of Kennewick; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Bobs family would like to thank Hospice and Tri-Cities Chaplaincy for the loving care they gave our husband and father.
Bob is and was an amazing Dad, Mentor, Husband, Soldier, Worker and Friend. We will miss him dearly.
Inurnment will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Richland.
