Ida W. Guilland of Yakima, passed away Thursday July 6, 2006 in Kennewick, WA. She was born March 25, 1915 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Frederick W. and Ida Euteneier. She married David Guilland, July 17, 1934 in Yakima, WA.

Ida moved to Yakima in 1917 with her family, settling in the Ahtanum area, where she lived most of her life. She enjoyed identifying wild flowers, bird watching, archeology, and was an avid tennis fan.

Ida is survived by her son David H. Guilland of Palmer, Washington; her daughters and their husbands Linda and Steven Baker of Kennewick WA; Jennie and Robert Bass of Kennewick, WA; and Emily and Larry Larson of Veneta, Oregon; her daughter-in-law Barbara Guilland of Moses Lake, WA; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years David Guilland; her parents Fred and Ida Euteneier; brothers Fred, Al and Max Euteneier; sisters Pauline Van Doren, Gene Palmer and Emma Bell.

A graveside service will be held at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima at 10 a.m., Saturday July 15, 2006. Einan's Funeral Home, Richland, WA, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Yakima Arboretum or a favorite charity.

    I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. My Mom sent me the article from the Yakima paper. I remember many happy times spent at your homes in Ahtanum…baking cookies,etc. Your parents always made me feel welcome. Please accept my deepest sympathy..I still think about you..take care.
