Carol Quinton Tuttle
Mr. Carol Quinton Tuttle, our dad, grandfather and great grandfather went to be with his Lord on September 10, 2006 at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, WA. He was born in Frankfort, South Dakota on January 21, 1915.
Mr. Tuttle was married to Dolores Hartshorn on June 9, 1938. They were married for 64 years. They lived for seven years in Lincoln, NE, 53 years in Yakima, and four years in Kennewick. She preceded him in death in November 2002. Tut, as he was known by his friends and business associates, is survived by one son, Ronald Tuttle and wife Barbara of Springfield, MO; two daughters, Karen Hill of Richland, WA and Kathy Wardle and husband Wayne of Kennewick, WA; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Hazel Lowell, Leah McConnell, Lillian Kess, and Delores Roth.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland WA. Viewing and visitation will be held at Einan's Funeral Home also in Richland on September 14th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Tut was a watch repairman for 65 years. Many of his associates considered him the best in Washington. ''If Tut couldn't fix it, it wasn't worth fixing.''
Tut was a dedicated Christian man. He served in many voluntary positions as Sunday School superintendent, teacher, deacon, and building fund treasurer. He even mortgaged his house to help build Central Assembly in Yakima. He was a gentle, patient man who showed kindness to everyone he met; a man who is greatly missed by his children and family.
I count it a privilege to say I pastored Caroll Tuttle for a number of years. What an outstanding Christian man he was. He was the kind of individual you wanted in church leadership. If he made a comment, it was worth listening to. Every church would benefit from having the pews filled with the likes of Caroll & Dolores Tuttle! God bless his memory to our hearts.
