James Allen Satko

James Allen Satko, 51, born in Seattle WA, on May 5, 1955 passed away in Kennewick on December 5, 2006.

A loving Father, and Grandfather, Jim’s most prized possessions were family keepsakes and images of days gone by. He told stories about life’s experiences to anyone willing to listen, always with gusto, enthusiasm and always peppered with many laughs.

Jim lived and worked in the Tri-City area as a master plumber for 15 years, known to most as “Jim the Plumber”. His love for mechanics also influenced a childhood dream of building and competing in stock car racing.

Known to family as “Jimmy” he looked at life through the eyes of a child. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Family and friends were his priority and he was very giving of his time and energy.

While Jim lived and worked in Washington State his heart was always in Alaska; where his family legacy lives. His heart was as big as the wide open spaces there.

Jimmy is survived by his son Daryl Satko, daughter Kimi Satko; his mother Janet Satko; father Bill Satko, brothers Bill, Don and Paul Satko; sisters Barb Chapman and Nancy Harth; his grandchildren Stevie, Alex , Mason and Ethan; a loving bunch of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and beloved friends.

He will be deeply missed and was loved very much.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations for Jim’s memorial.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 10, 2006, at 2 pm with viewing from noon to 2 pm at Einan’s Funeral Home in Richland.
