  • Dear Pete, Paul and Tom: What a friend Joan was to us…always made us feel welcome when we moved here…Joan and I were always able to laugh or critisize each other..not others…just each other and come out laughing in the end…That..my friends…is a wonderful relationship. Her smile was contagious..and..she always tried to call each person by first name…that made her a very caring person to all.

Joan touched a lot of lives and she will, certainly, leave an empty place in our hearts. She is one that will never be forgotten. Love to all of you. Vicki and Kim

  • Dear Pete, we will always remember how kind you and Joan have been to us over the last 30 years, since we met at the square dance class in Richland in 1976. You made us big city dwellers feel welcome in this high desert. Your welcome brought us to Yakima, where we have enjoyed so many wonderful years. We also felt lucky to run into you at Wapato Point. Our prayers are with you in the loss of the love of your life. Please accept our condolences. Fondly Ulla and Andrew Whitmont.
