Lloyd Choate Wilcox, 87, of Pasco, passed away April 10, 2007. He was born October 17, 1919 in Huron, South Dakota to Melvin Gafield and Ellinie Henrietta Choate Wilcox. Lloyd married Hazel Irene Jacox on September 7, 1958 in Grandview, Washington.
Lloyd served in the Army 1942-1945. He worked mostly as a laborer in farm-related jobs and attended West Side Church of Christ in Pasco.
Although Lloyd had no children of his own, we thought of him as our dad and grandfather and he treated us like his own. We are his children Gladys May Davis Hinkle and Della Marie Davis Lee; 13 grandchildren including Darlynda Kay Hinkle Klingele, with whom he shared a special bond; 22 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Carol D. Wilcox Hutchinson and Donn L. Wilcox.
Preceding him in death were his wife Hazel in 2001; son Vern A. Davis; siblings Fern C. Wilcox Denton, Ethelyn L. Wilcox passed as an infant, Faith D. Wilcox Davis, Frances M. Wilcox Feist and Keith L. Wilcox.
Per Lloyds request, a private memorial service will be held and inurnment will take place in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside at a later date.
Lloyd was fond of saying I have lived a good life and I had the best wife.
Della, I’m so sorry to see that your Dad has passed away I hope you take some time for yourself, and just take it a day at a time. Your Dad is in a better place with his wife and not suffering any longer. God Bless you and your family.
Della & Family,
May you find strength in each
other and joy in the memories of your fathers love. It is a difficult time right now, but he is resting in the cradle of God’s hand and is in no more pain.
Love & Hugs

My heart is heavy for your loss. Uncle Lloyd was always so wonderful to me and showed me love. He was kind and giving. I don’t think I ever saw him mad.My uncle was the Best.God Bless, Judy
Lloyd will always have a place in our hearts. We know there are many things you will miss about him, and for your loss of one you loved, we are saddened. But we are grateful for the gift of eternal life that God gives through his Son.
Love,
Jim and Linda Gaukroger
Lloyd was a dear cousin of mine, and a faithful corresponder , I thought the world of Lloyd, and he will be missed.
Lloyd Wilcox was my uncle. He was helpful to our family as my mom was a widow at an early age with three children to raise. Although she worked very hard finances never seemed to stretch as far as they needed to. He, along with his brother, helped in that regard often. I will be forever thankful for that.
God bless you Uncle Lloyd and may you rest in peace.
Love, your niece, Elnie
