Ralph C. Coffman, 88, of West Richland, WA, passed away on November 12, 2008 at 1:30AM at Richland Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Cove, OR to Mr. and Mrs. Seagal Coffman. Ralph was raised in Baker City, OR and lived on the farmland with his parents and attended school in Baker City. He met his wife Verna Searle in Gabbs, NV and they married in 1945.
Ralph and his wife moved to Richland where they raised their children while he worked for Hanford as an operator. Ralph then retired in 1945. He was an avid fisherman and was always ready to catch "The Big One"
Ralph is survived by his wife Verna Coffman of 67 years, sons; Phillip Coffman of W. Richland, Allen Coffman of Richland, and Don Coffman of Spokane. He is also survived by his niece, Tutsie of Lyons, OR and a sister, Hazel Allegre of Gresham, OR and by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Theresa Martin.
A viewing will be held on Friday at Einan's Funeral Home on Friday November 14, 2008 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be at the Apostolic Christian Church on Saturday November 15, 2008 at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
