Colleen Estell Swallow Thompson April 5, 1934 - March 29, 2009, Age 74
While surrounded by her family Colleen passed away peacefully, returning to her Heavenly Home. She lived a life of service dedicated to family and friends. She influenced the lives of countless youth in Scouting and Young Women programs. She faithfully practiced her religion as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an athlete, a coach, a referee, and she was her kids' and grandkids' biggest fan. Her enjoyment for life came from family, big fish, playing games, fishing, watching family sports, fishing, the beach, bigger fish, arts and crafts, quilting special blankets, fishing, cooking, and taking pictures and scrapbooking. For 9 years she drove school bus, caring for special needs children of the Richland School District. Later she worked for the Bosch Kitchen Center selling, teaching, and demonstrating products. She was preceded in death by Claude M. Thompson Husband, Amos Warren, Velton Warren, Lavar Warren and Norris Warren brothers. Delpha Kowallis, Sybil Ann Lybbert-Hill sisters, Nathan Lee Swallow and Jared Barker grandsons. She is survived by Verda Merkley sister, Devon Warren brother, Children- Mike Swallow Susan, Renea Manis Bob, Rick Swallow Kelly, Reed Swallow Carol and Marie Fernstrom Bruce, Step Children- Claudia Barker Tim, Monty Thompson Carol, Cathy Gifford Derek and Patsy LaCoste Tom. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 23 step¬ grandchildren and 22 step-great grandchildren. Special thanks to be given for the Medical related care given by Dr. Michael Pattillo, Dr. Joel Galloway and Dr. Iyad Jamali. Mom's Last Wish: AfterGlow Author Unknown I'd like the memory of me to be a Happy One. I'd like to leave an after-glow of smiles when the day is done. I'd like to leave an echo, whispering softly down the ways of happy times, and laughing times, and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun. Of the happy memories I leave be hind when the day is done.
She is our AfterGlow, we Honor her and we will forever remember her.
